I absolutely love basics! I literally use basics to build all my outfits.The leather jacket is an awesome staple and serves as a great layering piece. I also think it toughens up the look.

However, if you don't own a leather jacket (which you should lol) you can substitute it with an oversized open sweater or a long cardigan.

Whatever you choose, just have FUN with it!
